Spin-my-Blog Post
I'm testing posting via SpinVox a new voice to text service that allows you to post voice messages as text to your blog. Let's see how it works, if it does I'll post a full review later.

SpinVox
I just signed up for a service called SpinVox. It is a dial-in system which will take spoken word and post to this blog. I haven't tried it yet, but will soon. I'll let you know how it goes.

Posting from IMified
Trying a new posting method. it allows me to post directly from an IM. If this works, it means I’ll be able to post from almost anywhere. It’s fairly simple and straightforward. You send an IM to IMified and then use the tools to setup “widgets” to services like Pownce, Jaiku, Blogger, Wordpress, and others. it works pretty well, but I don’t know if the service, which is currently FREE, will stay that way. Even for a small fee, it would be worth it. Overall. it’s a pretty good tool I am sure I will keep using

Web 2.0 Explosion?
I may be seeing this from a different direction from everyone else, but I've always been a bit out of line with conventional wisdom.
From the point of view of the "normal" internet user, is it reasonable to expect more than niche market status for most of the Web2.0 "product" on the market today? I mean, everything I have seen, and used, well almost everything, has a great idea and execution, for the most part, is very good, but in the end, just how many of the applications can the market support, realistically?
You've got the Google monster with GMail (in some jurisdictions), Google Docs, Picasa, Orkut, calendar, reader, and God knows what else they are cooking up in the labs. Is there a place for services like Zoho, 8apps, et. al.? Especially considering the 800 ton gorilla Microsoft presumably pushing into the "software as a service" realm?
Also is it realistic to expect the "normal" user to really keep up with all the accounts, sites, formats, and such? I am not "normal" by any stretch of the imagination, but if I am having trouble, I can never expect Joe User to get it, now can I?
Just think this through as I don't have the answer yet, but it is worth considering.

Over Exposed?
After reading a post by Leo Laporte on Pownce Vs Jaiku (see the Link, you may have to be a Pownce member to read it) I got to thinking. Just how many "Faces" does one person need in the net?
I mean, personally, I have 2 blogs, not counting myspace, Livejournal, MySpace, Twitter, Jaiku, Facebook, and now Pownce. That doesn't include Flickr, Digg, De.licio.us, Technorati, YouTube, and all of the other content driven sites I am a member of at this point. Is it even possible for one person to create enough content to drive all of that at once without posting the exact same stuff everywhere?
Add to all of that 15 personal email accounts (at least I collect almost all of that to GMail), 2 work email accounts, all which receive a total average of 980 emails a day, (went on vacation for a week and almost topped my GMail limits. did on my work emails) various cell calls, SMS, IMs, MMS, spam (On all of these), and other connections I can't think of right now.
It's no wonder I don't post much of anywhere anymore. Is it possible to electronically over-extend one's self?
I thought one of the primary concern of the "Information Age" would be reduced contact with people. HELLO!!!!, Can I PLEASE get some of that.....
Hmmm...this would probably make a good blog post too.
BTW - I have Pownce invites....:P
